BACKGROUND INFORMATION

While technical expertise is fundamental to auditing, the success of an audit extends far beyond this knowledge. It relies heavily on the auditor's ability to effectively plan, communicate, collaborate, and manage time efficiently. The audit process becomes significantly more effective when clients are well-prepared and engaged. This session explores how auditors can leverage these essential non-technical skills to enhance audit quality and efficiency, while also guiding clients toward better preparation. We'll examine practical strategies that combine professional requirements with interpersonal skills to achieve successful audit outcomes.

SPECIFIC TOPICS TO BE COVERED DURING THE SESSION

  • planning and preparation
  • communication strategies
  • managing client relations
  • time management
  • team co-ordination and quality control

Why is the session of relevance to our members?
